12.2-4, 6 – “slain…vultures/dogs/wild beasts…famine…pestilence” These are the four deadly acts of judgment spoken of in Ezekiel 14:21. See here. Compare also “hail” and “east wind” in verse 6 with Ezekiel 13:13.
12.19 – “confound them in all their words” The word “confound” in Hebrew is ‘balal’ which is used in a wordplay in Genesis 10 with Babel/Babylon. Mormon is comparing the wicked priests of Noah to those who were confounded at Babel. See here.
