5.6 – “they were good.” The name Nephi likely stems from the Egyptian root nfr meaning “good, fair. 

5.9 – there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ In this verse, Nephi and Lehi recall the words of their father Helaman, including this quote from King Benjamin. Compare Mosiah 4:7-8. (Note also that one of King Benjamin’s sons was named Helaman–see Mosiah 1:2.)

5.10 – “the words which Amulek spake unto Zeezrom, in the city of Ammonihah…he should not come to redeem them in their sins, but to redeem them from their sins Compare Alma 11:36-37.
